The Humanist Community at Chautauqua serves as a gathering place for seekers with or without a formal religious affiliation. HCC acts as a co-equal partner with faith communities at the Chautauqua Institution in interfaith dialogues.

Humanism is a naturalistic approach to life based on shared meaning making, empathy, and our common humanity. The interfaith work of HCC focuses on the “everyday humanism” that emerges from the interactions of the scientific, spiritual, artistic, cultural and other communities at Chautauqua.

See our events calendar for descriptions of scheduled activities.

HCC is a chapter of the American Humanist Association (https://americanhumanist.org).
